25 THE TASMAN LEADER, AUGUST 1, 2013 WHAT'S ON THE RADIO NETWORK ADVERTISING FEATURE The changing face of the Radio Network Nelson Building exceptional business partnerships within the local Nelson community Adynamic new team is adding increased impetus to The Radio Network Nelson, with a key focus on building exceptional business partnerships within the local Nelson community. Heading the team is new Sales Manager Rob Lyver, who comes with extensive sales and marketing experience. A family man, Rob graduated from Victoria University, and ran his own marketing company while still studying there. Originally from "Rural Central Hawkes Bay", he's lived in Nelson for over four years now, falling in love with the region, its environment and opportunities for both family and business. "Nelson offers so many things, especially for families," says the proud father of 4-month-old Ethan. "I'm happy for my children to grow up here." Committed to being involved in the community -- through work and family life -- Rob adds that TRN Nelson will continue its long-term support of community events and causes, while also working to ensure Nelson businesses grow locally and nationally. "My first priority is to grow strategic and long-term business relationships within the local Nelson community. I want to fully understand clients' business needs so we are able to provide support and effective business solutions. "Supporting the community in which we live and do business is good for business for the community as a whole. We all share in that success," he explains. Networking plays a large role in his plans. It's all about connecting people; making opportunities for them and their businesses." "We're here to actively help people drive their business. Whether it's creating advertisements, jingles, on-air or on the street promotions or even adding a different perspective to their website; we have the people and we have the technology. "Come in and talk to us about how we can assist you." The recent appointment of a new Sales Manager for The Radio Network (TRN) is just one of several exciting new developments in the growth of the TRN Nelson office. "With new team members, a new office makeover and our key focus on building exceptional business partnerships within the local Nelson community, we are now perfectly placed to achieve our vision, explains Neil Jackson, TRN's Direct Sales Director. That vision includes TRN's philosophy to create compelling content and deliver active, engaged audiences to their advertising customers. TRN is New Zealand's market leader for radio advertising solutions delivered across strong radio and online brands including Newstalk ZB, ZM, Radio Sport, Classic Hits, Coast and Hauraki. It is jointly owned by Clear Channel Communications and APN News and media through the Australian Radio network. The new team brings with it renewed passion and invigoration at TRN Nelson; and a goal to be the very best in the local market. "We have several new people on the team, yet they all have one thing in common: a dedicated passion for radio and for achieving the best possible results for our clients," says Sales Manager Rob Lyver. Already an integral part of the community, TRN Nelson is now adopting an holistic approach for clients' marketing strategies. "We want to fit your business rather than you fit our constraints. Media is going though some major changes and radio has some great opportunities to take advantage of, so stay tuned."
